Belfast Design Studio founded by David Woods and Barrie Holden has a very small independent studio. Specialising in Graphic Design and in branding. Their style of work is very clean and contemporary, minimal design and use of typography. Bag of Bees has worked with clients and projects for Queen’s University, NI Museums and more.
As their work looks more editorial and sometimes environmental, it is a path in Graphic Design I am not comfortable or particularly interested in. However, it is important to learn. I feel like this studio is ‘too clean’ visually for me as a designer as I tend to like colour, noise and I am definitely not minimal. It is helpful researching studios like this to see projects studios can accept and work on.
