DV Studio ( Jay Vaz and Laurie Miller) had come together with filming twins and had a collaboration and created a project that blends visuals and animation together. The video was made as a short film starring Mackwood, a drummer from the UK to create a visual exploration into Jazz. Its motion visuals brings more depth onto the video of the drummer. It fits the jazz feeling, as someone who is a fan of the genre. The tones, mood, lighting and typography blended into the video creates the perfect jazz atmosphere. It really shows how simple shapes can say a lot of things, can carry a big precedes and that less is more. Even how the shapes move to the beat of the drums makes a truly stunning visual and it engages multiple senses for the viewer making it a more immersive and engaging experience.
Incorporating motion graphics with music is very cool and as a lover of both, it is very interesting and I would love to produce pieces like this in the future after I graduate. Even as a passion project to gain more skills in motion.
