Pinterest is a platform that is sally advised against in design. Designers should have a visual journal and get inspiration outside. however, Pinterest is a great app visual that has been helpful for my mood boards in past projects such as “A Wrinkle In Time” it is also fantastic for pinning and saving images onto boards to collect your own visuals and mood board. It is also very convenient as you can do it from your mobile phone.
Pinterest offers millions of images from ‘kitchen decor inspo’ to typography, branding, photography and much more. When researching “A Wrinkle In Time” it was helpful to see fan art or book covers other artists has made. It had provided me with knowledge to see what designs have in common, what is being used continuously and how I could take a different direction from other designs.
