Sam Spratt is another visual artist whom I’ve been following for years. he is based in New York and uses classic drawing and painting techniques, brought into the digital world through digital painting. He has become one of the leading names in digital art. When I discovered him in 2019, he had been making album covers for 070Shake, Logic, Kid Cudi and designing paintings for Marvel and Red Dead Redemption.
His digital paintings are very intricate and there are hidden messages shown throughout which is really interactive for the viewer. You can see that thousands of hours and passion was put into each project.
The biggest project recently call ‘Luci’ is a series of digital paintings and is a story of written psalms paired with the paintings and is a story about rediscovery. The website presenting this story is very interactive and is like a digital gallery to deep dive into the stories of ‘Luci.’ Sam Spratt’s passion, hard work and dedication inspires me and I hope in the future I will find the same passion towards projects and through my journey in the designing world. The passion is truly something to admire.
