The illustrator that caught my eye was Clive McFarland. He has worked for Penguin, Marks and Spencer and was chosen for Dolly Parton’s imagination library. His work is very textured and his illustrations are inspired for children. I love his use of colours and contrasts. After my final major project I had found an inspiration for illustrating and designing for children, which also stems from my job as I work with children everyday. I enjoy how children illustration is more open minded, explorative, creative and it’s fun! It’s nice to unlock more imagination instead of staring at a screen all day. He has also explored 2D animations through his illustration which tells a story through a still image and brings it more to life. Illustration is a role I would like to consider and be involved with after enjoying my final major project so much. It is one of the main projects I had throughly enjoyed from start to finish.
